The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who can turn operational requirements into working drone solutions.
You’ll work across platform and component research, manufacturer evaluation, mission planning, system integration and field testing, while collaborating with our software, AI and operations teams to prepare systems for deployment.
What you will do
Translate operational needs into technical requirements and evaluate possible solutions.
Research and compare drone platforms, payloads, components and suppliers.
Work with manufacturers to evaluate configurations, verify specifications and communicate required changes.
Integrate and configure subsystems and conduct ground and flight tests.
Analyse flight logs, troubleshoot failures and improve system reliability.
Collaborate with software, AI and operations teams to prepare systems for deployment.
Document technical decisions, test results, operating limits and field procedures.
Must have
Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics or a related engineering field.
Practical UAV project experience through employment, research, internships or substantial college/personal projects.
Understanding of drone systems and mission planning.
Ability to research unfamiliar technical problems, evaluate specifications and explain engineering decisions clearly.
Willingness to participate in field testing and travel.
Good to Have
Experience with manufacturers, component selection or system integration.
Familiarity with flight controllers, telemetry, PX4, ArduPilot or autonomous mission planning.
Experience with camera and gimbal integration, onboard compute, GNSS or RTK/PPK and flight-log analysis.
